When you are 46 and the girl is 24 , is it a case of a mismatch? I wonder but this is precisely what happened: a lovely girl who came into my arms and the fact that she was American perhaps was the icing on the cake. American girl and icing to the cake? Well, it’s something most men feel in this age and part of the world.

I was asked after my stint in the Air force to take up an appointment in civvies street and I must say I was lucky as I headed a United Nation`s `community project for tribal development in the heart of western India at a place 90 miles into the Ghats at Mumbai. I was the director and under me, we had a string of specialists and qualified men and women who were doctorate holders. Things hotted up when a young American doctor landed from New York. She was to be part of the health development of the tribals who lived in an era that was long past.

Sally, for that, was her name was a lovely girl. She was about 5ft 4 inch tall and with 3-inch heels was just about taller than me when standing. She wore short pants most of the time and one was struck ( I will say for myself)  with the curvaceous calves and lovely bare thighs. Add a slim waist and a fair complexion with auburn hair tied in a ponytail just about accentuated her looks. She was a doctor, yes but extremely feminine.

I took a momentary decision and decided that Sally would accompany me on all my trips and so she became a willing partner with me as we moved in the dense forests of the Ghats and the villages of the tribal. She was good natured and we both hit it well. She was inquisitive about India and I told her a lot, even about the erotic sculptures at Khajuraho.

In about 2 months we became close and I worked my proximity as a director and boss over her to my advantage. One fine day it rained and we all know the thundershowers in the Ghats are something unreal. We sat in the land cruiser and the thunder boomed and boomed again. It was a veritable clash of titans as lightening flashed across the sky and  the clouds hung low  creating darkness all around. Is this what Krishna did in the battle to slay his enemy who could only be killed when the sun was setting.

A boom and a crash followed and by instinct I pulled Sally to me. It was a dream, a dream I had planned for long. Remember all this was stage managed by ME as I held her and kissed her. The resultant atmosphere all around was  weird with flashes of lightening and booming of thunder. This  played its part in the seduction as the inevitable happened and Sally was mine. Was it a seduction? Did I do anything bad ?  it started a relationship that lasted a long time   in relativity though only 2 months. She went back and tumultuous events followed after that , but that is another tale.

Catholic Priest from Kerala Rapes and gets Life in Prison

A Catholic priest repeatedly raped a young girl. The rapes took place from 2015 in the Indian state of Kerala. The girl complained to her mother, who immediately went to the police. An investigation was done and the priest was arrested for rape. He was charged under the Protection of Children from sexual offenses act ( POCSO). It appears that after a sermon the priest would lure the minor girl minor girl to his chamber for the gratification of his lust. The news is reported by NDTV in its evening broadcast.

The priest Fr Edwin Figarez was a well-known figure in the community and had endeared himself to the populace by his devotional singing of hymns to Jesus. After his repeated rapes were discovered he was tried under POCSO and the judge has awarded him 2 life imprisonment terms. 

Action

The priest has now been suspended by the local diocese. Catholic priests are at the center of many crimes and the Vatican is grappling with the issue. Fr Edwin was tried by a fast track court and punished in a record time.

Dubai is an exotic place.
One can get the best of women here but there are also exotic sights. Watching tigers on the beach and seeing them frolicking about in the Arabian Sea is a real sight. Certainly better than a girl ina bikini on the beach. Am I wrong?

History is a peculiar combination of a record of wars and its effects. It also affected the dress worn at that time. One dress that is so common among the men and women of the North West Frontier and Punjab is the Shalwar Kameez. It consists of a loose shirt up to the knees and under it is a trouser called the Shalwar which is tied at the waist with a cord. The shalwar is broad at the thighs and tapers to an embroidered collar around the ankles. This was the original dress, but now many innovations have been made.

This was the standard dress of the Sikh women in the Punjab but was never worn by the men. In the 19^th century, one man named Hari Singh Nalwa terrorized the Afghans and the men of the frontier. Hari Singh Nalwa was a general of the army of Maharajah Ranjit Singh.

In a series of battles from Multan, Jamrud, Peshawar the Afghans were badly beaten. The name of Nalwa now created a great fear psychosis among the Pathans and they wondered what to do. Hari Singh was a ruthless man and the Afghans were loathing to be captured by him.

They also learned that Hari Singh as per his code of conduct spared the women and the children. The Afghans thought of a plan to escape from the battlefield. They decided that the best course was to wear the shalwar kameez, the dress worn by the Sikh women and escape. This ruse was successful in a number of cases, particularly during the night. The Afghans and the Pathans thus started wearing the shalwar Kameez and now it is worn by both men and women in the North West Frontier and Punjab. It has become the standard dress of the Afghan and Pathan men. People may well ask, as to what was the dress of the Pathans before they adopted the Shalwar Kameez. The Pathans wore a robe similar to what the Arabs wear now.

The Sheikh Zayed Mosque is a Delight * 66

No visit to the UAE can be complete without a visit to the Sheikh Zayed mosque. The mosque made in white marble is an architectural delight and can be seen from miles away. It is located in Abu Dhabi the capital of the UAE. The mosque is located about 12km away from the city center and one can take a taxi which will charge you 25-26 AED( $ 6). There is no entry fee for the mosque bu a dress code is in force.

All women who enter the mosque must be suitably attired and in case you are wearing a skirt or shorts, the mosque administrators have burkhas available which can be hired ( free of cost). This code is inviolable and no entry is allowed for anyone inappropriately dressed.

The mosque is a real beauty. and made of white marble. It glistens in the sunlight. At night it is lit up and the lighted mosque creates a beautiful picture.The mosque is surrounded by pools of water and exquisite fountains that add to the glamor. A guide is available who will conduct you through the mosque which is a definite wonder of the UAE. The mosque has an end to end carpet which is in one piece and adds to the sacredness of the place. The mosque opens for visitors at 9 am. The best time to

visit the holy place is just before sunset. You can then listen to the  Adhan (Muslim Call to prayer) at sunset. This prayer will strike you in your heart irrespective of your religion and listening to this is a great pleasure.

It is extremely well maintained and its a place to visit and one can say it's time well spent.

Devious Plan to Impeach Trump? * 71

The erstwhile Soviet Union was a superpower before it collapsed under its own contradictions. That left a unipolar world with America the sole super power. However, for the press barons and a few senior leaders, Russia still remains the enemy. Donald Trump has brought in out of box solutions and one of these is cooperation with Russia for the greater good of fighting Islamic radical groups together. Unfortunately, some senior congressmen like John McCain have been articulating comments against the Russian president Putin. For them, Russia remains an enemy, though the geopolitical situation has changed. Many are mouthing anti-Russia comments with the primary aim to hem in Donald, and at some stage, lay the groundwork for his impeachment. This may sound far-fetched, but the agenda is there.

Opposing Donald

The attempt to provoke Donald is palpable -- like in the interview before the Super Bowl. Bill O'Reilly referred to Putin as a "Killer." Donald didn't take the bait and neatly side-stepped with a counter question. When senior statesmen like senator Mitch McConnell refer to Putin as a thug, the aim is clear: to undermine the effort of Donald. President Obama did his best as well, with executive decisions to hem in Donald.

The American press and a sizeable number of highly educated intellectuals have made their opposition to Donald clear. Donald was not the choice of the senior members of the GOP. He in a way presented them with a fait accompli; leaving no choice but to nominate him. He went on to win the election, despite salacious tales being circulated. Many in the press thought he would be defeated. It didn't happen that way.

Future

Now many have jumped on Donald's supposed secret links with Russia. Tales regarding a Russian connection have followed Donald's choice of Secretary of State Tillerson. Hopefully, another 6 months down the line and all of this chatter will have died down.

Holiday in Abu Dhabi? The Mercure Resort in Jebel Hafeet is the Best.

Introduction

Abu Dhabi and Dubai are two places that are visited by millions of tourists every year. I have now been in Abu Dhabi for quite some time and the wonders of the place never seem to stop to enthrall me. Abu Dhabi has lovely game parks and resorts where one can spend time. These are some of the best in the world. It's hard to imagine that just six decades back Abu Dhabi was little more than a fishing village.

It also has some of the most beautiful resorts and they are a great place to while away the time.

Mercure Resort

One of the resorts worth visiting is the Mercure Resort, situated high up in the Jebel Hafeet mountains. This is the highest mountain range in the UAE and rises to a height of about 5000 ft. The resort which is a five-star luxury hotel is at a height of about 4900 ft. At this height, it becomes pretty cold in winter and its best to carry some woolens with you.

The resort overlooks the plains below and it's an awesome sight. The road to the resort matches the best roads I have driven on in the Alps or the Rockies in America. One can easily steam at 100 km an hour and it's a drive to relish.

The Mercure resort has all the trappings of luxury. There is an excellent bar and after 10 at night on certain days an enchanting belly dance is performed for the guests. I really enjoyed the belly dance by a Lebanese girl along with my Chivas.
The resort has an excellent gym and 5 eating outlets. The best place to eat is by the poolside, which overlooks the plains below.

The swimming pool is heated and one can dive in even in winter. There is always a bevy of girls from India and America making use of the pool in bikinis and other swimwear. One other sight of this pool is to see the Arab Muslim women swimming in the pool in burkha. These women wear a bikini or swimwear and cover themselves with a Burkha and jump in the pool. This is not allowed in other swimming pools in the West. However, the burkha follows its own rules and in the water floats up leaving a voyeur to have a glimpse of lovely legs of Arab women. What a pity they keep them covered.

Last word

luxury

I have been twice to this resort. It's best to go after making a prior reservation as a walk in rates can be sky high. The resort is a gay place and a great place to relax. It's about an hour and a half drive from the capital. I use my Mustang, but for others taxis and a luxury bus are available. I was there a week back with my American gal and it was a great time. Make a visit and you all will love this place as well.
