The Politics of Yoga: How will it Alleviate Hunger and Malnutrition ?

Narendra Modi is a past master at distracting attention from the pressing problems of India. Here is a country of 1. 2 billion people which as per conservative estimates by the UNO  has a malnutrition and hunger problem for 500 million people: which is more than the entire population of Europe.

Hence what is the priority for India ? It is alleviating hunger and giving food to children who go to sleep at night without a full meal.  Yet the Indian PM is not concerned as he goes about distracting the people with infructuous events like Yoga Day. Pray Mr PM, I want to know how yoga is going to benefit a hungry child or a man who goes to bed on a sparse meal devoid of nutrition? Is he expected to do yogic asanas and will these asanas help him fill his belly?

Narendra Modi has his priorities wrong. He has soft pedalled on corruption and impropriety of his cabinet ministers, one of who is hobnobbing with a known evader of law and another is moving around without any qualification and what ever she has is a fake degree. The sad part is this person  Smriti Irani is  given an important portfolio like HRD. Can anything be sadder  ? One must remember in the last BJP ministry the HRD was handled by a qualified veteran like Murli Manohar Joshi who was a MSc in Physics.  What a mockery this man Modi makes of important portfolios.

We also have the case of Sushma Swaraj who is the foreign minister. She must be a shameless lady to hang on to the post despite being brought out that she has violated all canons of propriety by hobnobbing and worse helping a known wheeler dealer and evader of Indian law. She is helping this man remain in London and goes about still with a bland smile on her face. In this case the less said about Modi the better.

Modi knows how to detract attention from pressing needs of the day. the man who sits in Yogic asana  in Public, is in fact a callous man. He has no time for veterans of the age of 80-90 sitting and fasting in the sun for OROP as also with propriety in public life. All he is interested in is his own image. I have already brought out the effect of the Napoleonic horoscope which is there in his chart and we all know what happened to Napoleon.

Modi had  an excellent chance to get to brass tacks and See that food is available for all. Have you sir any plans for it OR another stint at Yoga will serve the purpose ?

Modi the Charlton Must Go into the Dustbin of History

A Charlton is a man who believes in tricks and fooling the people. I am afraid this aptly fits Modi. Here was a man who came to power promising a scam free government and " ache din" in the years to come. But as with all promises, Modi is a let down . He  seems to have forgotten the Raison d'etre of why he was voted to power and also all his promises. As Bacon said "Power corrupts and absolute power corrupts absolutely".

Take any issue Modi is a cipher and one has to listen to the radio and TV to realise that the people have voted in a man with feet of clay. He talked about corruption free and scam free  government and he also talked that  not only Caesar but Caesar's wife would also be above suspicion. But here is the catch when it comes to the crunch of 2 senior leaders of the party Sushma Swaraj And Vasundhara Raje doing acts of impropriety, he is silent like the sphinx. Will that help him?

He forgot about OROP and the army and in one stroke demoralised a fine fighting machine. This man who is really a charleton must be defeated. He would have unfortunately done enough damage even in one term. God save India .

Is the RSS a Really Patriotic Organisation: Some Actions are Suspect

The RSS as per Justice Katju in his blog has mentioned  was a creation of the British. I perhaps may not believe it , but I have serious doubts about the RSS as a party that has India at heart. In particular I am concerned about the RSS supporting corrupt politicians who have crossed the Rubicon of impropriety.

Julius Caesar crossed the Rubicon , a river that signalled rebellion of Rome,I  am afraid Sushma Swaraj and her twin the Rajasthan Chief minister Vasundhara Raje have also  crossed the rubicon and are supported by the RSS( Rashtriya SwayamSevak Sangh). One could never expect that a organisation that talks of Ram Rajya would stoop to this level  and debase itself. Mohan Bhagwat and other leaders must ask themselves whether such things happened in Ram Rajya under Rama?

Both women are important leaders of the BJP and  and are supposed to set an example of conduct and dealings. After all the saying that not only Caesar but his wife should also be above suspicion holds true here as well. Both women not only crossed the Rubicon, but have compromised themselves by hobnobbing with a known evader of the law Lalit Modi , who is a man who has run away to the UK and evading facing the authorities. He is accused of one of the greatest swindles in cricket history that runs into millions of dollars.

Sushma Swaraj  and her twin Vasundhara should have been sacked promptly and an inquiry ordered against them. The RSS itself should have recommended this to Narendra Modi, but the so called cultural organisation that talks of India , an India free from corruption is not only silent but backing these two women. I have no doubt that these 2 women have shamed the nation and I still expect the RSS to act. Will they? that is the million dollar question or they will waste time in infructuous things like " ghar wapsi" etc.

Sushma Swaraj and Vasundhara Raje have burst the Bubble of the BJP

Two ladies  from different backgrounds and holding positions of power in the BJP have made Narendra Modi the prime minister and the BJP shamefaced. Much as the BJP spokesperson like Dr Patra put on an act of bravado in defending of these 2 ladies the fact is that the BJP is shamed.

The ladies one of who is the foreign minister and the other the chief minister of Rajasthan have been courting a wheeler dealer who is a escaped fugitive and money laundered. the man is Lalit Modi against who the enforcement directorate has issued a look out notice. Yet the Foreign Minister Sushma Swaraj  has recommended that the British issue   travel documents to this fugitive from law. This man Lalit Modi is hiding in London.
The second lady Vasundhara Raje , the chief minister has allowed her son to accept  crores for his company  from lalit Modi and she also recommended his case to the british government  to give sanctuary to him.

Its a shame that 2 important leaders of the BJP are hobnobbing with a man who has swindled millions and is an escaped criminal to London. Lalit Modi is wanted in India to reply to the many charges against him.

The BJP has come out in defence of the 2 ladies, but the entire  defence and orchestra in their favor is so sad. It shows that the BJP is a party no different from the Congress and maybe worse. It preaches and does not practice.  I wonder what Modi has to say about all this.  Will he talk about this in his " Man ki Baat" or send some tweets.? probably not as he is not a man who can aspire for greatness, but his behaviour is like a small time politician. Where sir, is your bravado and salvos against corruption and nepotism.? I  and the indian public cant see it.

The Ex Senior Officers with the BJP have a lot to Answer on OROP

One general who was the  Chief of general Staff of the army, approached the Supreme Court asking that a review be carried out  of his age, for the simple reason he wanted another year as army chief. He is general VK Singh. the same man is nowhere to be seen at any rally of ex servicemen as he is a minister in the Union cabinet. What has he to say PUBLICLY on OROP? He can go to the Supreme Court on a mundane matter, yet when it comes to fighting for a legitimate demand of OROP , this general is missing. He can say that he " privately" is pressing for OROP. But this is neither here nor there and shows that he has not the inner guts to face reality.
He is not the only one and there are many more sitting in an embrace with the BJP . There is another Colonel who is a minister of I&B and he is also talking with 2 voices. None of the so called generals with the BJP attended the latest Maha Sammelan on OROP on 14 June 2015. I have no hesitation in saying that these men  have let the man in uniform down.
The future is hard and rocky and the ESIS must not put their eggs in the basket of the BJP. There are men like Arun Jaitley who probably thinks he is a king maker, little realising that he is in reality a small man.
In the olden days a promise made is to be honored. Nobody was holding a gun at the back of Narendra Modi when he made all those tall promises. Now he says the issue is " Complex". What a way to wriggle out of a promise.
Modi can still redeem himself and make a name in history, but it requires a firm attitude and put men like Jaitley in their place . Can he do it ?

Jayalalita the accused in Corruption Case is back as CM: How Long?

When I see the old film posters of the imperial lady from Tamilnadu, I am amused. Here is a girl who entered the Tamil film industry, but never made it to the top but became a mistress of a man 30 years her senior the famed actor hero popularly referred to as MGR.
On the death of MGR she donned the mantle of leadership of the AIDMK and soon became Chief Minister of  Tamilnadu. This by itself is a good thing, but she decided to make money. She enriched herself and a trial court held her guilty and sentenced her to 5 years in jail.
In India however wheels run between wheels and the High Court  in a perverse verdict disregarding all the painstaking evidence collected against her. It was a bizarre verdict and one wonders what transpired for the judge to give this verdict.
However the Karnataka government has gone in appeal and  one expects the Supreme Court to set aside the bizarre decision . if that happens, then Jayalalitha may have a mournful swan song

Can Rahul Swing the Fortunes in his new Avatar

Rahul Gandhi had put in a lack luster performance during the last general elections. Probably he realized it and decided he needed a mental make over to beat Modi. This he did by taking a 50 day sabbath in perhaps Burma or Thailand, perhaps in a monastery, though one cannot be sure of that. There was lot of talk about Rahul's sabbath, but I suppose it was needed for him to steel himself and rework his options.

He has now returned and I can say its a rejuvenated Rajiv   that has emerged. He has lineage on his side  and if he can get his act together there is no reason, why Gandhi cannot make a come back. Gandhi has on return mounted a frontal attack on Modi and castigated him for non approval of OROP, and the land act.  Modi has thus handed to Rahul some tailor made issues. One fails to understand why Modi is acting against the very poll promises he said are sacrosanct to him. he has compounded issues by giving lines of credit to the tune of 3 billion dollars to Bangladesh and Mongolia. To what purpose, when thousands of farmers have committed suicide in India and he fails to sanction OROP for the poor soldiers.

Rahul is now a rejuvenated man and I can say that he will be a factor in the years to come for Modi has tied himself in knots on many domestic issues. His success is only in the Foreign policy field , but that will not feed the farmers, who are destitute and poor and committing suicides by the dozens. Modi must be ashamed of this.
One can conclude that Rahul Gandhi has in  the manner of the legendary boxer Muhammad Ali,  appeared to fly like a butterfly and sting like a bee.  Modi better watch out. In any case Rahul is 20 years younger than Modi and there is a chance that Modi could be a passing phenomena like Sher Shah Suri

Poor Nitesh Kumar has Cooked Himself in Bihar

Nitesh kumar was an ally of the BJP for over 2 decades, but envy and and ambition brought him down. With the rise of Narendra Modi, he saw the post of Prime Minister slipping from his grasp and he parted  company , thinking that his departure will  sink Modi and the BJP.

The reverse happened and nitesh sank without a trace. He now decided that to survive he better make amends with Lalu Prasad his bette noir for decades in the hope that this alliance will help him beat the BJP and he will make a come back as a great leader  and maybe Prime minister as well. But Lalu is an ambitious man and he has made it plain, that Nitesh is not teh man to be projected as the leader of the Janta Dal United.

Poor Nitesh is now in a bind. he is out of the BJP who have shown the locked door to him and he also has nothing to get further from the RJD headed by Lalu Prasad. In short Nitesh Kumat has allowed envy to override his practical sense and now he is on the road. I am afraid it must have dawned on him that he is not the man who can match Modi and i wonder what is his future. Nitesh committed Hara Kiri. What a foolish man !
