Germany and Migrants: Everything is not Honky Dory

The war in the Middle East has led to an exodus, that is the word one has to use for the hundreds of thousands who are leaving their homeland and trying to enter Europe. At the time of writing over a million refugees have flooded  the EU and Germany has absorbed the largest number of them. This is not an altruistic move, but Germany needs labor and they felt this  exodus can be used to their advantage.

However there is always a underside and this  came to teh fore when the  refugees mostly improvished Moslems  sexually assaulted German women. The police have confirmed that the men who did this cannot be identified. This is the catch and Germany will have to live with it. One reason is the restrictive society in Mile East where women are never seen unclothed or wearing a revealing dress.. To see Geran women in various dresses has had an effect and it is sexual masochism to the fore. I am afraid this is the price that the Germans will have to pay for the cheap labor to run their country for them

The Sport of Indian style Wrestling " Khusti": Dying away

Indian Style Wrestling or 'Kushti' Its Origin and Present Position in India

Wrestling is the oldest sport in India. It traces its origin to a bygone age. The earliest mention of Kushti or also called ‘Dangal’ is in the Mahabharata an epic that traces its origin to 4000BC. In this epic the warrior BhÄ«ma wrestles with the Rakshas King Jarasandha.  This is a famous episode and the two had a wrestling bout that lasted for 13 days and in the end BhÄ«ma broke Jarasandha backbone and tore apart his body with his bare hands.
Over the centuries this Indian form of wrestling continued in India. It is different from the Free Style and Greo0 Roman style of wrestling which is universally recognized all over the world. This style of wrestling is confined only to the sub-continent and now is home only to India and Pakistan.
Kushti has simple rules and is fought between two protagonists in a large arena covered only with sand and loose mud. The men wrestle only on this natural environment and normally there is nothing like a ring. The game is a trial of strength and the victor who pins his opponent to the earth with both shoulders touching the sand and mud.  No blows with the hands are allowed and the men grapple with each other face to face. There is no rest period or ‘rounds’ and the match once started goes on till one of the players is defeated or signals his acceptance of defeat. Earlier bouts never had a referee and normally this part was played by the Chief Guest who could be a maharajah. But modern Kushti matches have incorporated a referee.
Presently the Champion Phelwan in India is given the title Rustam-e –Hind after the hero of the Iranian epic. Unfortunately the sport is confined to India and Pakistan and is not an Olympic sport. Efforts are on to stream line the sport, but paucity of funds and lack of sponsorship is a big handicap.

Pakistan and use of " Doctrine of Necessity" 57

The Doctrine of Necessity has been known for over 2000 years, but it has been rarely invoked in modern history. The state of Pakistan has however relied on this doctrine to justify military coups and judicial political hangings like of Zulfikar Ali Bhutto by the army general Zia ul Haq.
The first time this doctrine was used in Pakistan was in 1954. The events are now well known. The then Governor General of Pakistan Ghulam Mohammed dismissed the constituent assembly. He took this unconstitutional step as he felt that the assembly did not represent the people of Pakistan. It was a partisan step and an appeal against the Governor General’s order was filed in the Sind High court. The  President of the Constituent Assembly Maulvi Tamizuddin was the man who filed the appeal.
It is on record that the Sindh  High Court ruled in favor of the petition filed by Maulvi Tamizuddin. The Governor General went in appeal to the Chief Court of Pakistan (later the Supreme Court). The then Chief Justice Muhammed Munir seeing the wind blowing with army breathing down his neck ruled in favor of the Governor General. Justice Munir relied on the doctrine of necessity as enunciated in Roman law and further enunciated by Ivor Jennings. This was a sad day for Pakistan.
This decision of Justice Munir became a precedent and on a number of occasions the Supreme Court of Pakistan justified Military Coups. Thus military coups against elected governments by general Zia ul Haq and general Musharraf who overthrew the elected civilian governments were given legitimacy.

Pakistan has the Dubious distinction of perhaps the only modern country to have made use of this provision of  Roman law

Swimwear and Indian Girls * 76

I was a member of the Madras Gymkhana Club at Chennai some years back, the swimming pool there had hardly any women swimming. But once darkness set in a few intrepid girls would enter the pool for a swim. This was usually after 8 pm and the girls could swim for an hour or so till the pool closed at 9 pm.
This is the dichotomy in India, women would like to swim and wear good bathing suits, but centuries of the Purdah system has indeed left a hangover. Thus, for a woman in India getting on the beach or into the pool at a club will require a certain amount of introspection in selecting an appropriate swim wear.

Selecting a proper Swimming Costume.
A wide variety of swim wear by the latest manufacturers is available in any of the big stores in the Metro towns. However getting a swimming costume to buy in the small towns is almost like a pipe dream, hardly anybody will stock them as they will not sell. However in the Metro towns like Mumbai, Delhi or Chennai there is no dearth of swimsuits and you can get any of the best brands quite easily.
These swim suits can be examined by the buyer who will have to choose from a wide variety. However the girl will have to first decide where she plans to use the swim suit. Is she planning to have a swim at a beach or simply a dip in the pool of the club or hotel? Most of the good clubs in India have excellent pools and can be safely used.
In case a girl plans to use it at a club then there is no limitation. One can select a design that shows off your body to good advantage. You can select a backless or a low cut suit and no eye brows will be raised.
Swimming on the Open Beach
In case you are planning to go to one of the many beaches, than you will have to take some care in selecting a swim wear. You will have to ensure that the suit is not
too revealing, as it will attract the eyes of oglers. This could be a disconcerting experience. However in some of the holiday resorts like Goa, the situation is a little better. But again a woman or girl must remember that discretion is the better part of valor.
Thus while planning a picnic at a beach, where you will like to enter the sea, take care that the suite is slightly staid. Do not select gaudy colors that will make you stand out it is best to select a swim suit with a light unobtrusive color. You could even select one that covers part of your thighs. If you follow the rules of the game, you will be able to relish a dip in the sea.

The Bikini and the Average Indian Girl

the Bikini is one dress that sets a woman to good advantage. In case you are slim and petite, a bikini will certainly be an asset. But in case you plan to enter the sea at a public resort, than make it a point not to wear a bikini in India. You will also observe that hardly any girl in India will wear a bikini on any of the beaches. I for one, who have travelled the length and breadth of India, have never seen an Indian girl in a bikini on the beach.
All this is a hangover from the age old Purdah system that has existed for well nigh 1000 years. Hence it is best to eschew a bikini on a public beach. However in case you are bold, then you can try out one in a five star hotel pool or a good club. You will certainly catch the eye, but that will be a pleasure.
However India is changing. Many taboos are going with the wind. The wearing of the swimming costume is on the rise, at least in the Metro cities. Many girls are also learning to swim in the corporation pools. India is moving ahead and that is a plus point.

Women , Scent and Men ** 79

Can Scent of a Woman Attract a Man?

Can a woman's aroma or scent attract a man? Frankly I don't know, but I attended a party at my friend’s private place in Singapore. He told me that he had planned a novel party. I went alone as usual and found about 15 girls and 15 men for the party. The host announced that he was going to have a game. He wanted all the men to write their data along with a photo on a page and he announced that this data and photo would be displayed on a screen.

He also announced that the girls would give their T shirts which would be put in an open cardboard box. The men were to smell the T-shirt and decide whether he would like to pair up with the girl. His bio would be flashed and the girl had the option to decide whether she wanted to pair with him.

It was a novel game and I picked up a few T Shirts and finally I liked one smell and held it up. The girl to whom it belonged could see it. My bio was flashed and I waited to date her. Would the girl accept me?

I was delighted when a girl from Manila working in Singapore accepted and stepped forward. She was petite, very fair and looked lovely in a mini skirt. We hit off excellently. I understand similar parties are held in New York and Mumbai.
Perhaps a woman's scent does have a meaning.

Pablo Picasso is recognized as one of the  greatpainters of the Modern age. Pablo drew his inspiration from the Hindu concept of Tantra which advocates  sex witha younger woman for greater creativity. Perhaps Pablo was not aware of the Tantra concept and yet he only proves it true with his affairs with women half his age or even younger.
His most celebrated love is with Marie Therese a girl who was just 17 when she met Picasso. He was 46 at that time and Marie was 29 years younger than him. She bore him a child, though he never  married her.
She was the theme of some of his most famous paintings. One of them a portrait of Marie titled ‘Nude, Green Leaves and Bust’ is considered his greatest work. Marie was also the theme of many other paintings. She was the inspiration for Pablo to reach the sublime in art. Pablo despite having Marie also had affairs with many other younger women. After his death Marie who loved him committed suicde . A sad end indeed, but the world will never forget her or Pablo Picasso
