Belly Dance at the Ras el Khema in Dubai

Belly Dance at the Ras el Khema in Dubai

Dubai is a land of wonders and has wondrous outlets for entertainment. The trademark item is the desert safari and the piece de resistance is the belly dance. One of the tours organized to a Bedouin camp is at Ras el Khema. This is about a 2-hour drive from Dubai in the Arabian Desert. The fare here includes whiskey, belly dancing, and a drive in the desert.

The best part is that one has not to come back and one can stay overnight in the desert in air-conditioned tents. This is a holiday to remember and it is a boon for lovers as well as a man with a consort or wife. The tour starts with a drive through a wonderful road to the Ras el Khema. It's a beautiful place located in the desert dunes and all around the camp are high dunes. In the center are the dance floor and all the people sit around it.  Whiskey is available and after the dance, there is a barbecue dinner. Luckily only chicken is served and no beef.

The atmosphere is wonderful especially if you go in winter. The cold wind braces you and all sit around the dance floor. Male dancers regale with the local Bedouin dance and then comes the girl with the bare midriff. Most are lovely and supposed to be from Lebanon and now some are from India as well. One can savor the dance to the lilting Arabian music as well as sip good scotch whiskey. Good snacks are all-around and after the dance one can gorge on the barbecue dinner. Nothing wonderful more after dinner than to move in the starry sky in the desert with your love. A stint is vigorous and after that, you can retire to the tent and relive golden moments
